To say that BlackBerry hasn't exactly been forthcoming with information, about the company's plans for the BlackBerry Q10 launch, would be an understatement of magnificent proportion; however, a recently leaked document from Canada's largest mobile carrier has finally forced a BlackBerry Q10 release date revelation.

With the BlackBerry Z10 release date having come and gone, all eyes have turned to the next BlackBerry 10 device slated for release - the QWERTY keyboard-equipped BlackBerry Q10 which was first revealed during BlackBerry's January unveiling of the BlackBerry 10 mobile OS. Unfortunately, the company formerly known as Research In Motion remained relatively silent on the matter of the phone's launch, as have the numerous carriers which will support the phone on/after the BlackBerry Q10 release date.

BlackBerry fans' luck finally changed though, with a leaked Rogers data sheet forcing Canada's largest mobile carrier to confirm some of its BlackBerry Q10 release date plans on Tuesday. Rogers customers will be able to purchase the BlackBerry Q10 beginning April 30, for $199 with 3-year service agreement, and the carrier has confirmed that the QWERTY-equipped BlackBerry 10 device will be available in black and white at launch.

There's still no word on exactly when the BlackBerry Q10 will make its U.S. debut; however, BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins has previously suggested that the company's next BlackBerry 10 device would be available to consumers roughly 8 weeks after the BlackBerry Z10 hit store shelves. The touchscreen BlackBerry 10 device has been available from U.S. mobile carriers for approximately two weeks now, which would put the BlackBerry Q10 release date sometime during mid-to-late May if Heins estimate was accurate.
